In the same spirit as qmailrocks.org, djbdnsrocks.org, iptablesrocks.org and the other "rocks" sites that are in development, vsftpdrocks.org was assembled to provide an easy-to-understand installation guide to the "very secure" vsftpd FTP server software. Installing vsftpd is actually quite easy, so this site is not intended to be very complex at all. I like to think of this site as a glorified man page for vsftpd. This site will initially focus on 3 types of vsftpd installations: from source, from the FreeBSD ports collection and from RPM. This site is not an official vsftpd source and is not associated in any way with the makers of vsftpd at http://vsftpd.beasts.org. I do not claim to be an expert at vsftpd and one should not assume that this site is 100% accurate and error-free, though I will do my best to ensure accuracy. That said, I hope everyone enjoys the site!
